Holographic interferometry and the fractional Fourier transformation.
The fractional Fourier transform (FRT) is shown to be of potential use in analyzing the motion of a surface by use of holographic interferometry. The extra degree of freedom made available by the use of the FRT allows information regarding both translational and tilting motion to be obtained in an efficient manner.
متن کاملRectangular-to-quincunx Gabor Lattice Conversion via Fractional Fourier Transformation
The fractional Fourier transformation is used to transform the rectangular Gabor lattice into a quin-cunx lattice. By using the isometric property of the unitary fractional Fourier transformation, the biorthog-onality relation for the rectangular lattice is transformed into a relation which holds for the quincunx lattice. Since a Gaussian function, which plays an important role as a window func...
متن کاملDigital watermarking in the fractional Fourier transformation domain
Embedding of a watermark signal is an interesting research and application field in the copyright protection of multimedia signals (images, sounds, movies) [1–4]. The goal is to embed the watermark that is imperceptible in the image, while the copyright holder can detect its existence, by using proper private information—key. Commonly used methods are based on embedding watermark signals in the...
متن کاملOrthonormal mode sets for the two-dimensional fractional Fourier transformation.
A family of orthonormal mode sets arises when Hermite-Gauss modes propagate through lossless first-order optical systems. It is shown that the modes at the output of the system are eigenfunctions for the symmetric fractional Fourier transformation if and only if the system is described by an orthosymplectic ray transformation matrix. Essentially new orthonormal mode sets can be obtained by lett...
متن کاملWave simulation in 2D heterogeneous transversely isotropic porous media with fractional attenuation: A Cartesian grid approach
A time-domain numerical modeling of transversely isotropic Biot poroelastic waves is proposed in two dimensions. The viscous dissipation occurring in the pores is described using the dynamic permeability model developed by Johnson-Koplik-Dashen (JKD). Some of the coefficients in the Biot-JKD model are proportional to the square root of the frequency. In the time-domain, these coefficients intro...
